  • Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the homecoming parade for 3 Scots, the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, in my hometown of Inverness. 3 Scots, the direct descendant of the 42nd Regiment of Foot (the famous Black Watch) is one of the oldest and most successful units in the British army, with a history spanning three centuries. Their latest operations in Afghanistan have been no less trying than any of their other campagins across the globe.
